The rapid advancement in the VLSI technology and system integration have made possible to design chips with more than billion transistors. With the advent of VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) technology, it is now possible to design chips with billion transistors. A specialized one month summer training program from 4th June to 3rd July 2019 has been scheduled at IIIT-A. This training program will cover analog and digital integrated circuit design using commercial technology kits and simulation tools along with exposure to fabrication methods and PCB design.

With the advancements in mobile technology and latest trends in social media, it is in more demand in the industry besides its traditional and contemporary applications in various fields. Image processing is also being used in forensics, security, medical science and data analytics with a lot of scope in other fields of research. Thus, it is the demand of present time to learn image processing effectively and efficiently to utilize the skills in robust manner for various applications. The objective of this two (02) day workshop is to acquaint the participants with Microsoft Excel and R Studio by helping them carry out some hands-on exercises from research domain. To cater to all kinds of participants from different functional domains, the research-centric hands-on exercises have been developed in a manner that involves the user solving simple to complex problems by using different research techniques.
