Rakesh Kumar Reddy (IEC2013045), Nikhil Sowrya (IEC2013063) and Adithya Sasha Sai (IEC2013066) of BTech (ECE)-VII Sem have received 1st position all over India in prestigious Mentor Graphics University Design Contest-2016. The awards ceremony will held on Jan 12th, 2017 in Bangalore and the students will be receiving 1.5 Lakhs prize money. Mentor Graphics University Design Contest was aimed at providing an opportunity for engineering students from different technology streams to participate in the contest and demonstrate their technical capabilities, problem solving, project management and design skills in a contest against their peers. The problem statement was to efficiently design tracer data compressor in FPGA using ModelSim.

Dr. Bibhas Ghoshal,s proposal is one of the 259 proposals selected from 2612 project proposals received under IMPRINT Call for Proposals. The ~10% of submitted proposals were selected after the 2612 proposals were reviewed by more than 500 reviewers, in three stages, over the last six months. His submitted proposal number 7482F title Power Aware Compiler for Embedded Processors has been approved for financial support by the Apex Committee of IMPRINT in its meeting held on 28 September 2016.

Team Greed_for_Speed from IIIT-A has secured 1st position among the Indian teams and 57th position worldwide at the ACM ICPC World Finals at Phuket, Thailand. The team consisted of Man Mohan Mishra, Mettu Shiva Reddy and Aditya Sharma.
