(PoSH) Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace

PoSH refers to the Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace, established under the provisions of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (PoSH Act, 2013).

We are committed to maintaining a workplace and academic environment that is safe, inclusive, equitable, and free from all forms of sexual harassment. IIIT-Allahabad follows a strict zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment, ensuring that every individual can work, study, and grow with dignity and confidence.
To ensure a safe and respectful environment, IIIT-Allahabad has constituted an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) under the PoSH Act, 2013. The Committee functions with fairness, neutrality, empathy, and complete confidentiality to ensure timely and impartial resolution of complaints. In compliance with statutory provisions, the Committee includes women members and external representatives to ensure transparency and objectivity in the inquiry process. How to File a Complaint
If you have experienced, faced, or witnessed any incident of sexual harassment, you have the right to report it. The Institute is committed to ensuring a safe, confidential, and supportive complaint resolution process. All complaints are handled with utmost sensitivity, and strict measures are taken to protect complainants against any form of retaliation or victimization.

You may file a complaint directly with the Institute’s Internal Committee through the following process:- Submit a Written Complaint
Provide a detailed written account of the incident(s), including relevant facts, dates, and circumstances.
As per the PoSH Act, complaints should ordinarily be submitted within three (3) months from the date of the incident, or within three months from the last incident in case of repeated occurrences. - Use the Dedicated Confidential Email Channel. External Redressal through SHe-Box
Women complainants may also choose to register complaints through the SHe-Box (Sexual Harassment electronic Box) - an online complaint management platform launched by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, for lodging complaints related to sexual harassment at the workplace.
A complaint registered on the SHe-Box portal is automatically forwarded to the respective organization's Internal Committee for inquiry and redressal. The system also enables tracking of complaint progress in a transparent and time-bound manner.
