IIIT-A's administrative office deals with the diverse range of issues including human resource, financial activities, research administration and student affairs.
The range of research activities at IIIT-A is broad and deep. IIIT-A scholars conduct in research in variety of fields and seek to expand human knowledge through innovation and insight.
Our students have been selected on an all India basis and are the top 0.5% of the nation's talent pool. The students are mosaic of innovation, brilliance and sincerity with a zeal for making their mark in the world.
Living and learning are intimately interwined at IIIT-A. Extra-curricular programmes, organizations, performances, forums and athletics beckon students, faculty and staff as well as neighbours from the communities around us.
Invitations are sent to the company/organization with relevant information by the placement office starting from August. After confirmations from the company/organization the office arranges pre-placement talk. The company conducts its selection process and shortlists students for the interviews following which the final results are announced. Companies also offer Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) to students who have worked on summer projects with them. This PPO must be given at least a week before the placement procedure starts and the student has the option of either accepting the offer or participating in the placement process.
IIIT-Allahabad has a flexible and mutually beneficial Recruitment and Internship program. Students who have been selected as recruits can also be hired as interns and if not be, more interns can be hired apart from recruits. Students can opt for internships of approximately 18 weeks in either a company or university ashering to the following guidelines:
(i) The internship is viewed as a major project in the last semester of B.Tech by the institute and thus the internship project (or industrial project) must be research based or development oriented.
(ii) The company must give a Problem/Project definition on which the selected students will work, which must be approved by the Institute as being suitable.
(iii) Midsemester project evaluation is necessary for all those who are pursuing it in India while it is optional for those pursuing the project outside the country.
(iv) The End semester evaluation is compulsory for all and will require the student to give a demo of the actual project (institute shall not possess the work).
