Dr. Amit Kumar is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj, India. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, India, in 2022. Following his doctoral studies, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) in Data Science at The University of Manchester, United Kingdom, where he engaged in research in data-driven computing and related areas. - Coordinator and Organizer, MANTRA-2026, a three-day hybrid academic Workshop on Machine Learning, Linear Algebra and Natural Language Transformation, organized by the Departments of Information Technology and Applied Sciences, IIIT Allahabad, with participation from students, faculties, and working/research professionals from outside the institute.
- Presented a research talk, “From LLMs to Multimodal AI: Beyond Text,” at MANTRA-2026: Workshop on Machine Learning, Linear Algebra and Natural Language Transformation, IIIT Allahabad, Prayagraj, India--sharing perspectives on the evolving landscape of AI beyond text and exploring the exciting possibilities of multimodal intelligence.
- Served as an Expert Speaker and delivered an invited talk on “From Equations to Embeddings: AI Across Physics and Language” at MPCI-2026: Workshop on Mathematics, Physics and Computing in Information Technology, IIIT Allahabad, Prayagraj, India.
- Served as an Expert Speaker and delivered an invited talk on “Natural Language Processing with Quantum Kernels” at the affiliated pre-summit event of the India - AI Impact Summit 2026 titled "Quantum AI for Scientific Discovery: Unlocking the Next Frontier in Research" at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Tiruchirappalli, India.
