The department was established in the year 2006 with the aims of providing leadership in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering and pioneering interdisciplinary research with Information Technology. We strive to train and empower our students who will make the world a better place by using power of engineering principles, techniques and systems.

The drone PS-1925 founded by the CEOs and our students Ms Shefali and Mr Pawan (Ph.D co-supervised by Dr. Suneen Yadav) made it possible to transfer technology to Indian farmers. Bagged many international prizes and acclamation. The video shows an interaction with national news Doordarshan at IIIT-Allahabad.

Accolades:

The placement packages at ECE department is growing in the last 5 years. The data from our placement cell department records a whooping annual package of 62 Lakhs in 2021 even at the time of pandemic.

Welcome to the department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad. The department was established in the year 2006 with the aims of providing leadership in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering and pioneering interdisciplinary research with Information Technology. We strive to train and empower our students who will make the world a better place by using the power of engineering principles, techniques and systems.

The Indian Institute of Information Technology-Allahabad is a fully funded institute under the Ministry of Education, India; housing state-of-the-art infrastructural along with the R&D experimental,computational and academic resources. The Institute is spread over 100 acres of beautiful landscape with on-campus hostel facilities for both the genders along with a vibrant campus life.
